Electronic Information Science and Technology

Characteristics

The pilot specialty of "excellent engineer training program" in Sichuan Province is based on the national and local demand for electronic information technology personnel, relies on the development of regional radio-frequency and microwave industry, combines the advantages of the college in the field of weather radar technology, practices engineering education concepts, and cultivate students with basic knowledge of electronic information technology, especially the simulation, design and measurement of radio-frequency and microwave circuits and systems. Graduates are engaged in relevant scientific and technological development, product design, production management and other work for enterprises and institutions related to electronic information technology or radio-frequency and microwave technology. They are mainly employed in Chengdu and radiate to the southwest and other areas with developed electronic information industry in China.

Objectives

Cultivate students with sound personality, good humanistic quality, social responsibility and engineering professional ethics; The students who have a solid foundation in natural science, basic theoretical knowledge and experimental skills in electronic information science and technology; The students who full of innovative spirit, continuous learning ability and strong engineering practice ability; The students who strong communication and team cooperation, project management and lifelong learning ability; A wide caliber and compound excellent engineer who can be engaged in product design, research and development, engineering management and other work in electronics, communications and computer related fields, especially in microwave and radio-frequency fields.

After graduation, the following objectives are expected to be achieved in the social and professional fields.

(1)Graduates can apply professional knowledge, production practice and project implementation experience to solve complex engineering problems in their professional fields;

(2)Graduates can organize and lead the team to complete systematic engineering projects, and be competent for the role of project manager in engineering technology posts;

(3)Graduates can continuously learn and keep up with the new technologies in their professional fields, and can expand to a certain extent;

(4)Graduates have high engineering literacy and professional ethics, and have a strong sense of responsibility for society, environment and sustainable development.
