From May 8th to 9th, the annual technical seminar of the fifth subject of the National Key R&D Program "Multi-source Meteorological Data Fusion Analysis Product Authenticity test" chaired by Professor Su Debin from the College of Electronic Engineering was held in Yibin.

The researcher Xu Xiaofeng from China Meteorological Administration, researcher Li Yueqing from Chengdu Institute of Plateau Meteorology of China Meteorological Administration, and Professor Jing Fengrong from CUIT as special invited experts to attend this meeting. More than 50 people attended the meeting, including Project leader, Researcher Shi Chunxiang from the National Meteorological Information Center, Researcher Xie Zhenghui in charge of the second project, from the Atmospheric Physics Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Researcher Liu Ruixia in charge of the third project, from National Satellite Meteorological Information Center, senior engineer Li Yunpeng in charge of the sixth project from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Ecological and Agricultural Meteorological Center, key researchers of the project and some graduate students.

The project leader Shi Chunxiang made a mid-term report on the overall conditions of the project, and the project leaders of the project made reports on the research progress of the project respectively. Eventually, over ten technical reports were produced by key project experts from the National Meteorological Information Center, the National Satellite Meteorological Center, the Atmospheric Physics Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, CUIT, and other units. The content of the reports was informative and aroused further discussions among the participating experts.

Chief expert, Shi Chunxiang made a summary for the seminar. She said that the seminar provided a precious opportunity for everyone to communicate and affirmed the phased progress of the project. Shi Chunxiang pointed out that the "disaster special project" has a long period, involves many complex scientific issues, and involves many scientific researchers. There are many issues among the projects that require multi-party collaboration and linkage, which poses huge challenges for project implementation. Even so, the mid-term evaluation of the project is "excellent", indicating that the researchers of each subject are making unremitting efforts for the project. In the end, Shi Chunxiang expressed her gratitude to the participants and hoped that on the basis of the current achievements, everyone will make further progress, communicate and cooperate more closely, and continue to promote the orderly implementation of the project faster and better.
