On the afternoon of November 20, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the Weather Modification Office of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the China Meteorological Administration's key opening laboratory of atmospheric detection of CUIT was held in Conference Room Seven of the administration building. He Qing, the Deputy Director of the Autonomous Region Meteorological Bureau, Chen Sheng, the Director of the Weather Modification Office, and Fan Guangzhou, the Vice President of CUIT, attended the signing ceremony. The meeting was chaired by Professor Su Debin, the Executive Deputy Director of the Key Opening Laboratory.
He Qing focused on the existing resources, current business content, and future development ideas of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Meteorological Bureau. He talked about we should seize the opportunity of the Belt and Road Initiative, give full play to regional advantages, and strengthen the cooperation with CUIT. He delivered the hope that our school can provide strong support in meteorological radar detection, talent training, etc., and conduct in-depth cooperation in scientific research such as weather modification and hail prevention to promote the long-term development of both parties.
Fan Guangzhou welcomed the arrival of He Qing delegates and delivered gratitude to the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Meteorological Bureau for their support of the development of our school. He said that our school has strong strength in teaching and scientific research in the fields of meteorological detection and weather modification. The cooperation with the Autonomous Region Meteorological Bureau has a very long history and a very close relationship. It is mutually beneficial to carry out in-depth cooperation with the Autonomous Region Meteorological Bureau. He hoped that the two sides can sign a real valid cooperation project, carry out all-around and in-depth cooperation, complement each other's advantages, and develop together.
Chen Sheng and Su Debin signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the content of the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in joint application of scientific research projects, application of weather modification results, and talent training.
Relevant personnel from the Weather Modification Office, the Disaster Reduction Office, the Observation Network Office, the College of Electronic Engineering, and the Weather Modification Research Institute of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Meteorological Bureau attended the signing ceremony and conducted further discussions on the scientific research project cooperation, achievement transformation, and talent training.
