The conference was presided over by Zhang Fugui, Deputy Dean of the College of Electronic Engineering.

The review panel of this defense conference consisted of Senior Engineer Zheng Wei from Sichuan Meteorological Observation Center, Senior Engineer Tan Youbang from Chengdu Meteorological Bureau, Professor Su Debin, Executive Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory, and other members-- Professor Yao Zhendong, Professor Yang Ling, Professor Ma Shangchang, and Professor Zhang Fugui. Yao Zhendong was the team leader.

A total of 9 subjects were selected for this final acceptance review, which was carried out according to the three links--the report of the project leader, expert questioning, and comprehensive review. At the conference, the directors of each project reported on the implementation of each project, research results, expense of funds, talent training, etc. The expert group conducted quantitative evaluation based on careful listening to the report, reference to the relevant conclusion materials, and the achievements of the subject. Then, the review panel made constructive comments and put forward suggestions related to projects. The expert group unanimously believed that the 9 opening projects participating in the review this time conformed to the orientation of key laboratories, and the overall progress of the project was good, meeting the completion requirements, and the project was approved.

At the conference, Su Debin said that the research content of the project covers ground detection, remote sensing detection, numerical simulation, meteorological product algorithm research, equipment hardware design, etc., and the project applicants are distributed in the field of atmospheric detection of scientific research institutes, business units, and higher education institutions. It is an important way to strengthen academic exchanges in the field. it is hoped that through the continuous implementation of opening topics, we will cooperate with industry peers to have in-depth cooperation and collaborative innovation.

At the end of the conference, Zhang Fugui expressed his gratitude to the expert group for their hard work and hoped that in the future, the key opening lab would continue to release opening subject guidelines that are forward-looking and in line with the orientation of the lab in the field, to attract outstanding scholars, researchers and technicians from home and abroad to declare their subjects, give full play to their disciplinary advantages, strengthen exchanges and further promote the construction of the lab.
