Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, in the afternoon of March 8, Prof. Debin Su, the project leader of the fifth project of the National Key Research and Development Program-- "the multi-source meteorological data fusion technology research and product development" and “the test of the authenticity of multi-source meteorological data fusion analysis” --hosted a video conference to summarize the quarterly work of the project. Dr. Xiao Xia from the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Associate Researcher Wang Yuanyuan from the National Satellite Meteorological Center, Sun Xiaoguang from our the College of Electronic Engineering, and graduate students Chen Xin and Yang Ning attended the conference.

The conference was conducted around the annual work plan of the subject task book, which mainly includes 4 parts: authenticity check of data set specification, the authenticity check of the prototype system, article publication, and potential problems in the work. The data set specification mainly includes standards for content, elements, metadata, data quality, identification, and environment, etc., and focuses on the quality control and preservation form of data in the data set, and discusses the storage format, quality control standards, and the matching of data with fusion products. In order to ensure the scientific nature of the test, further discussions are held with the project-related subject leaders on the plan of data categories required for the study. Making a brief design on the authenticity test of prototype system input, output expression, and the main functions of the system, which is a direction for the subsequent software writing. Making efforts to do a good job in the transformation of scientific research technology results, and the analysis of test records data while compiling scientific and technical papers to complete the annual task. For example, it is a necessity to actively contact the subject group for discussion to solve the existence of problems and strive to efficiently complete the work objectives. Meanwhile, the conference puts forward the main problems that exist at the moment and gives solutions, and encourages to seek help from the project team .for the problems that cannot be solved

At the end of the meeting, the main tasks of each sub-topic were clearly divided, and it was decided that regular online communication would be conducted to report the progress of the topic, so as to guarantee the orderly implementation of the topic during the period when the epidemic is not lifted.
