On the morning of April 28, John Edward Ogren, the Chief Learning Officer of the National Weather Service, and his 4 colleagues visit our College of Electronic Engineering. Wen Bo, the deputy director of the China Meteorological Administration Meteorological Training Center, and Yue Ting, the associate dean of China Meteorological Administration Meteorological Training Center Sichuan branch accompanied the delegation to our college. The vice president, He Jianxin, the deputy director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the dean of College of Electronic Engineering, and relevant faculties attended the meeting.

He Yuan, the deputy director ofthe International Exchange and Cooperation Office,welcomed John Edward Ogren and the delegation, then briefly introduced the history of CUIT. Yang Ling introduced the College of Electronic Engineering. John Edward Ogren described the National Weather Service and its affiliated training center. Professor Li Xuehua introduced the construction of CINRAD/SA/CA weather radar simulation platform.

The two sides exchanged views on radar maintenance, double polarization data quality control, product application, the latest progress in the field of meteorological education and training, and future cooperation intention.

He Jianxin concluded that CUIT had maintained good communication and exchanged with the China Meteorological Administration, hoping to carry out further exchanges and cooperation with the National Weather Service in areas such as personnel training and scientific research.

Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Key Laboratory of Atmospheric Detection under the College of Electronic Engineering.
