The milestone assessment preparation meeting and mid-term review meeting of task 3 for the “Development and Demonstration of Multi-Band Cloud and Fog Observation Equipment at Sea” were successfully held at our university

     On June 29-30, 2023, the milestone assessment preparation meeting for the National Key Research and Development Program " Development and Demonstration of Multi-Band Cloud and Fog Observation Equipment at Sea (2021YFC3090200)" was held at our university. The project is led by the China Meteorological Administration's Detection Center, with our university leading the third task of the project, " Development and Demonstration of Multi-Band Cloud and Fog Observation Equipment at Sea ". Over 30 participants, including the project leader, task leaders, and core project members, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Director Yong Lei of the Detection Center. The meeting focused on the project's mid-term progress, emphasizing the preparation for milestone assessments in line with project task requirements.

     On June 30, 2023, the mid-term review meeting for task 3, " Development and Demonstration of Multi-Band Cloud and Fog Observation Equipment at Sea," was held. The review expert group was led by Senior Researcher Jie Zhang. The expert group included Researcher Liping Liu, Professor Xuan Wang, Professor Guolong Cui, Senior Engineer Yigao Huang, along with the task leader and more than 20 project core members. The meeting was presided over by the head of the review expert group, Senior Researcher Jie Zhang. Professor Zhao Shi, the task leader, reported on the overall progress of the project, followed by sub-project leaders Chenghua Xie, Yingwei Xia, and Xiaolong Chen, who presented important developments in cloud and fog detection instrument development, all-sky imaging development, and laser fog measurement module development, respectively. The expert group acknowledged the achievements of the task, affirming that it had successfully completed the mid-term content, achieving the expected interim goals.

     Subsequently, the expert group provided constructive opinions and suggestions on the innovation of research goals, application transformation of results, collaboration between sub-projects, and highlights of the work. The task team engaged in in-depth discussions and summaries based on the expert group's evaluation opinions regarding the research objectives.
