The 2023 National Atmospheric Science Graduate Academic Forum and the Graduate Academic Forum of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences were held in Qinzhou, Guangxi from December 4 to December 6, 2023. The conference was jointly organized by the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Beibu Gulf University, with the cooperation of the Guangxi Meteorological Bureau and the Qinzhou Meteorological Bureau. The conference covered various topics, including weather and climate, atmospheric chemistry and atmospheric environment, atmospheric physics, and atmospheric detection.

Two students from our college, Shangdan Huang and Yuxiang Wen, participated in the conference. During the forum, they actively engaged in various activities, attended academic presentations, and participated in special discussions by experts, young scholars, and graduate students from universities across the country. They also delivered oral presentations on their research achievements in the field of meteorological radar in the forum and had in-depth exchanges with faculty and students from other universities regarding their research results and scientific experiences. Both students received the "Outstanding Paper Award" for their excellent presentations during the forum.

In addition to showcasing their research achievements to experts, young scholars, and fellow graduate students from around the country, they also benefited from learning about outstanding presentations by other experts and scholars. They gained insights into the frontier knowledge and research progress in the discipline, identified areas for improvement in their own work, and established connections with like-minded peers, laying a solid foundation for future academic research.
