The 22nd Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) Conference was held in Singapore from July 27 to August 1, 2025, bringing together experts and researchers from across the globe to discuss the latest scientific findings, technological advancements, and future challenges in the geosciences.

At the conference, Zhang Guoxiu, a graduate student from our college, delivered an oral presentation in the Atmospheric Sciences (AS) session titled "Advances in Understanding of Tornadic Storms in East Asia." Her presentation, "A Novel Tornado Detection Algorithm Based on CNN," introduced an intelligent identification algorithm designed to address current challenges in tornado forecasting and early warning systems in China. Through these interactions, they gained insights into the work of their international peers, clarified their subsequent research directions, and made more scientific plans for future research tasks. Additionally, students established potential topics for international collaboration.
